LECTURER /SABBATICAL REPLACEMENT

Teach Ceramics I and Ceramics and Culture. These courses cover hand-building, wheel-throwing and surface techniques. Topics include historical and contemporary ceramics, form, function and personal cultural identity. Advise advanced BFA students, supervise student assistant in studio duties, fire kilns and maintain studio safety.

LECTURER
Taught Ceramics 289 an introductory class in ceramic art covering wheel throwing, hand-built narrative vessels, application of slips and glazes and firing kiln.

ANN ARBOR POTTER’S GUILD
INSTRUCTOR
Taught 16-week course on wheel throwing, hand building, slip and glaze application. Weekly demonstrations presented on various technical forming and glazing topics.

YOURIST STUDIO GALLERY
INSTRUCTOR
Instructed an adult course on Beginning and Continuing Wheel Throwing, which covered, making cylinders, cups and bowls as well as glaze application.
